When Does Patriot Withdraw Taxes for Tax Deposits?

Learn when Patriot will withdraw your taxes for tax deposits

Available to Full Service Payroll

Patriot typically collects payroll taxes on the first banking day before the pay date. This means payroll tax liabilities are collected when payroll is run, based on the pay date and the taxes calculated for that payroll.

For Full Service Payroll customers switching from another provider, Patriot begins collecting and remitting taxes based on the tax takeover date selected during setup. This will include any FUTA or SUTA deposits, and any income tax withholdings for federal, state and local taxes.

If payroll history is entered for a period Patriot is responsible for, any quarterly or annual tax liabilities tied to that payroll history are typically collected during the tax authorization step.

This ensures Patriot has the funds needed to deposit and file taxes for the periods covered under your Full Service Payroll start date.
