How to Grant TPA (Third Party Authorization) for Kentucky SUTA

These are the steps you will need to complete on the KY UI employer portal.

  1. Go to Account Maintenance

  2. Maintain Third Party Administrator (TPA) Authorization

  3. Click New

  4. Enter Patriot's TPA ID: 8476

  5. Click Enter

  6. Enter a start date for the TPA Services Begin Date. Typically this is the beginning of a quarter or the beginning of the year. Be sure to go back far enough to ensure your payroll tax filing service has access to file for the Quarter/Year you want Patriot to handle.

  7. Leave TPA Services the End Date blank

  8. Select these two TPA permissions for Patriot:

    • Update and Submit Employer's Quarterly Unemployment Wage Tax Report

    • Update and Submit Payments

  9. Click Save

Patriot will confirm TPA access has been granted on the KUIP website. If proper access has not been granted, you will have a notification in your software that we have not been granted proper access.

Troubleshooting

  • Missing/Invalid EIN → This must be entered into our software

    • The KY SUTA EIN is a nine digit number and will begin with a 1 or a 2.

    • The KY SUTA EIN is not your FEIN

  • Access not granted → This means we were unable to look up your KY SUTA EIN under our TPA account.

    • Repeat the steps above to grant Patriot Access.
