Accounting Premium customers can customize the layout of customer invoices, credit memos, and estimates in Patriot Software. Choose a template layout, upload a business logo, and select an accent color for the PDF versions of these forms. The video below shows the quick steps to set your customization for invoices, credit memos and estimates.

Who can customize invoice templates?
Accounting Basic customers can upload a business logo to customer invoices, but the full template customization options are available only in Accounting Premium.
You can customize invoice, credit memo, and estimate templates if you use Patriot Accounting Premium.
What can I customize on invoice templates?
You can customize the following items:
Invoice email template fields
Default invoice note
Template layout
Business logo
Accent color
Your saved settings appear when you print or email PDF versions of invoices, credit memos, and estimates. Estimates are only available on Accounting Premium
Customize invoice, credit memo, and estimate templates
The PDF template is available in the each setting of the invoices, credit memo, and estimates.
One template controls all three PDF templates, although you can access the template in each area, credit memo, estimates, and invoice templates.
Go to Settings > Accounting Settings > Email and Document Templates > Invoice Templates.
You can also access the PDF template from Go to Settings > Accounting Settings > Email and Document Templates > Credit Memo Templates, or Go to Settings > Accounting Settings > Email and Document Templates > Estimate Templates.
Review your email address and mailing address.
Patriot uses the email address and mailing address from your company settings.
To update this information, go to Settings > Company Settings > Company Info.
Customize the invoice email template fields, if needed.
These fields affect the email message your customer receives when you send an invoice by email.
Add a default invoice note, if needed.
You can enter an optional default note of up to 500 characters. The note appears on all customer invoices, credit memos and estimates.
You can also edit the note for a one-time change when creating an individual customer invoice, credit memo, or template.
Choose your invoice template (available for Accounting Premium)
Preview each template layout, then select the one you want to use.
You can choose from three template layouts:
Traditional
Bold
Minimal
Upload your business logo, if needed. This feature is available to Accounting Basic also.
You can drag and drop your logo file into the upload box, or click Choose File to select an image from your computer.
Then, click Upload.
Your logo file must meet these requirements:
File size must be smaller than 4 MB
Accepted file types are .JPEG, .JPG, .PNG, and .GIF
Images larger than 150 pixels high will be resized to fit
After you upload your logo, Patriot shows the logo image and file name. You can upload a new logo or delete the current logo to remove it from your forms.
Select your accent color.
Use the slider bar on the right side of the color selector to choose a hue. Then, click inside the color box on the left to choose a shade.
If you know your six-character hex color code, you can enter it in the color selector.
Click Save Settings.
Your customized layout now appears when you print or email PDF versions of your invoices, credit memos, and estimates.

Can I change the logo on invoices later?
Yes. You can return to Invoice Templates at any time to upload a new logo or delete the current logo.
Does the template apply only to invoices?
No. The template you choose applies to invoices, credit memos, and estimates.
Can I change the default invoice note for one invoice?
Yes you can change the default invoice note for one invoice. The default invoice note appears on all customer invoices, but you can edit the note for a one-time change when creating an individual invoice.
